A medicine is ordered, released, dispensed and taken. The first steps still usually run via phone, email or paper, and whether a dose was actually taken is not recorded at all. DoryHealth develops software and hardware that maps these steps in a structured way.

01 — The problem

Most medication processes are not captured digitally

Ordering

Long-term medication in self-dispensing practices and nursing homes is requested by phone or email. Every request has to be transferred by hand, which ties up staff and creates transcription errors.

Intake

Dispensing data show what left the pharmacy, not what was taken. A missed dose only becomes visible at the next refill, and often not at all.

DoryGo

For:
Integrated Health Networks, specialist clinics, insurers and clinical research.
What it does:
A pharmacy sorts the medication into dated multi-dose blisters. A sensor pillbox records every compartment opening with a timestamp, without input from the patient. The care team sees missed and late doses in the dashboard; export via FHIR.
Use:
Available for pilot projects with healthcare organisations and research groups.

DoryDoc

For:
Self-dispensing medical practices.
What it does:
Patients order their long-term medication via the app. The medical practice assistant reviews the request and releases it.
Use:
In use in Swiss medical practices, connected to practice software via Heureka.

DoryCare

For:
Nursing homes and Spitex organisations.
What it does:
Care professionals select a resident or client, scan the required pack and send a digital order to the practice or pharmacy. This replaces ordering by email.

What we stand for

Why we exist

Medicines only work if they arrive and are taken.

Between the practice, the pharmacy, care and the patient, a medicine is ordered, handed on and administered several times. Reliable information is often missing at each of these handovers today, and we want to close those gaps.

How we work

We adapt to everyday practice, not the other way around.

We develop our products together with the people who use them every day: patients, medical practice assistants, care professionals, pharmacists and physicians. A tool that creates extra work will not be used in practice, which is why our products fit into existing workflows and systems.

DoryHealth develops and operates products for medical practices, nursing homes, Spitex organisations, pharmacies and healthcare organisations. They digitise the ordering of medicines and record their intake, developed in Zurich and hosted in Switzerland.

Who stands behind DoryHealth

DoryHealth was founded in Zurich in 2020. We develop and operate our products ourselves, from the hardware of the DoryGo box through to the connection to practice systems. On a project you therefore work directly with the people who built the product, not with a separate implementation team.

Degree in pharmacy and doctorate in Pharmaceutical Care at the University of Basel, FPH certificate in clinical pharmacy. Previously a hospital pharmacist at the Solothurn hospitals, a postdoc at Université Lyon 1 and a specialist in Adherence & Chronic Care at pharmaSuisse. Focus: medication adherence in polypharmacy, pharmacogenetics and interprofessional medicines management.

Chair of the Board of Directors, Cantonal Hospital Baselland and Resistell

MSc Biochemistry (ETH Zurich), MBA (INSEAD). Previously Engagement Manager at McKinsey, Head of Diagnostics Market Development and member of the global Executive Committee of Roche’s Diagnostics Division, and CEO of SIRS-Lab. Focus: corporate governance, digital health and strategy.
